EdgeProp, citing Bloomberg, reported that Singapore-based Princeton Digital Group is seeking a syndicated loan of up to US$1.2 billion, approximately RM4.9 billion, for its Malaysian expansion. The proposed three-year facility would support a 198.8MW data-centre campus in Johor and refinance existing debt.
The financing is still being sought and should not be treated as a completed loan or disbursed funds. The scale shows the capital needs of industrial and digital infrastructure, while new construction spending should be distinguished from debt refinancing. Investors should await formal financing and construction disclosures and monitor power, water, connectivity and execution.
