Scope: Nationwide; new housing projects cover Kulai in Johor, Nilai in Negeri Sembilan, Paya Rumput in Melaka and Lembah Pertang in Terengganu. Report and event date: 9 October 2026, the Budget 2027 announcement and KPKT statement.
KPKT reported a RM6.355 billion allocation for 2027. This includes RM1 billion for housing programmes such as Rumah Mesra Rakyat and Program Residensi Rakyat, covering new projects in the four locations above.
Local-authority small projects receive RM700 million for parks, public toilets and stalls; RM320 million supports slope and drainage repairs and upgrades.
Households should check local project notices, eligibility and construction schedules. National allocations do not imply equal spending in every neighbourhood, completed homes or individual cash grants.
