According to Malay Mail’s coverage of the Property Market Report for the first half of 2026, Johor recorded 6,697 newly launched residential units. The state also had 4,222 unsold completed homes and 9,946 unsold completed serviced apartments, which are reported as separate categories.
Local perspective: These are statewide figures, not a measure of any individual Johor Bahru development. Buyers in and around JB should compare neighbourhood-level supply, occupancy and amenities rather than rely on statewide totals alone.
