Bernama and EdgeProp reported that Genting Property, the property arm of Genting Plantations, signed a master-planning agreement with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) to advance Johor Tech Smart City (JTSC). Huawei will contribute AI, technology and smart-campus planning expertise. The planned flagship Smart Campus covers 430 acres within the Knowledge AI Campus. The wider JTSC development is planned at about 2,300 acres, with a reported estimated GDV of RM80 billion. This remains a planning agreement; it does not mean facilities are completed, tenants committed or GDV realised. Follow approvals, infrastructure, phasing, public amenities and actual implementation.
