The Edge Malaysia reported that Ormond Group, the hospitality arm of ECM Libra Group, held a groundbreaking for Ormond Desaru. The beachfront resort is planned on about 9.1 acres with 396 keys, forms part of Phase 2 of the Desaru Coast master plan, and is targeted to open in Q4 2029. It is the first third-party investment under that master plan. The opening date and final development scale remain targets and may depend on approvals, construction progress, market demand and operational readiness.
